Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, is seeking candidates for a Missile Defense System Architecture Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). This position is located in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

Assess Missile Defense (MD) threats, capability gaps, challenges, needs, and opportunities, and develop potential system mitigations and capability evolutions at the architecture level.
Support the above efforts by sourcing, generating, and organizing engineered threat data; developing threat scenarios; and reviewing current threat intelligence reports.
Support analysis efforts of MDS architecture studies on the DoD High Performance Computing (HPC).
Support Missile Defense Wargaming efforts.
Review and provide quality assurance of team analysis products before delivery; mentor younger engineers.
Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

Master’s degree in STEM and 12+ years of experience.
Extensive knowledge of the current MDS architecture and/or foreign missile systems.
Experience with Excel and data analysis.
Experience with MATLAB.
Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance.
Must be able to travel up to 20% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

Specialized MDS analysis experience in: threat characterization, trajectories, RF sensing/signatures, and/or EO/IR sensing/signatures.
Experience with M&S and analysis of MDS architectures involving future concepts.
Experience with TGx, HPC Systems, Python, and Git is a plus.
Experience with BMD Benchmark.
Experience with large datasets and data organization methods.
Experience working in the Missile Defense Agency.
